Maybe characters like the ones in this story have tried to meet you. Maybe, after you read this book, you’ll look more closely, listen more carefully, and your nostrils will pick up scents that have surrounded you for so long, but you never noticed.
Maybe your palate will become more sensitive to the taste of the air in the changing seasons, but most rewarding, maybe, just maybe, you will notice a critter of the forest, sea, sky, or desert for the first time. That critter, whether minuscule or gargantuan, will not only greet you…but accept you. Not with food or bribery, but because your senses have become aware of what nature has been trying to tell you all along…because you listened to *ki. Maybe YOU are the change.
*Ki/Kin (singular/plural) are the pronouns of the natural world.
