Maybe characters like the ones in this story have tried to meet you. Maybe, after you read this book, your eyes will look closer, your ears will listen more carefully, and your nostrils will pick up scents that have surrounded you for so long, but you never noticed.
Maybe your palate will become more sensitive to the taste in the air of the changing seasons, but most rewarding is maybe, just maybe, you will take notice of a critter of the forest, sea, sky, or desert for the first time. That critter, whether minuscule or gargantuan in size, will not only greet you…but accept you. Not with food or bribery, but because of your senses becoming aware of what nature has been trying to tell you all along…because you listened to *ki. Maybe YOU are the change.
*Ki/Kin (singular/plural) are the pronouns of the natural world.
